Early years childcare at Cramond Playgroup

Cramond Playgroup is a community playgroup, dedicated to providing high quality, fun and accessible care for children aged between 2 and 5. We are a registered charity and regulated by the Care Inspectorate. We pride ourselves on providing a fun-filled environment for children to learn and develop.

We are open during school term time (see below) from 9am – 12 Noon, Monday – Friday.

Sessions are run at Cramond Kirk Halls and cost £20.00 per morning, including snack. We would encourage at least 2 sessions per week so that your child gets the most out of their time with us.

Fees, invoicing and Ad Hoc Sessions

The fees are billed every month, via email, and paid in advance. Fees, currently £20.00 per session including the children’s snack provision, are fixed at the start of each session; the amount is decided upon through committee meetings with a view to remain as low as possible whilst coving rental costs, consumables and staff wages.  Invoices are sent monthly, payment can be made through bank transfer and the playgroup is registered with the Tax Free Childcare system.

We try to provide flexibility where we can, so please discuss changes to your session patterns with Gillian at the earliest opportunity and we will try our best to suit your needs.  Due to forward planning of staffing, a 6 weeks notice is required for reducing or changing days.

In the occasion that you need an additional session on a given week, “Ad-hoc days” may also be available (depending on availability) and can be discussed with the manager Gillian.

The money raised from fees paid is just enough to cover wages, hall rental, snack and basic supplies.  Fundraising is therefore essential to pay for new toys and treats such as Christmas parties and special events. Full support of fundraising events is imperative – without good fundraising fees would be much higher.
